     Command Sergeant Major Myron J. Lewis joined the Army in August 1987. His initial enlistment was for a 71L Administrations Specialist where he deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, upon redeployment he reclassified into the Military Police Corps in Sep 1992.

     CSM Lewis’ military assignments include being assigned to the DST team on Fort Bliss, TX. While at Fort Bliss, he was further assigned to the Center MP Company and the 978th MP Company as a Team Leader. His next assignment was as a Squad Leader in the 55th MP Company, Camp Page, Korea. His next assignment was to the 988th MP Company, Fort Benning, GA where he served as a Squad Leader and Rear Operations NCO. His next assignment was to the 1/61 Infantry Battalion, Fort Jackson, SC, where he served as a Drill Sergeant and a Senior Drill Sergeant. His next assignment was to the 233rd MP Detachment in Fort Monroe, VA where he served as a Platoon Sergeant, Provost Marshal Operations Sergeant, Provost Sergeant and Detachment Sergeant. His next assignment was to the 793 MP Battalion, Germany as the battalion Intelligence NCO. While at 793rd, he was also deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 06-08. Afterward, he was reassigned to the HHC, 18th MP Brigade as the First Sergeant and deployed again in support of OIF 07-09. Upon completion of his tour as 1SG he served as the 18th Airborne Corps Provost Marshal SGM while in OIF 07-09 and also as the 18th MP Brigade Operations Sergeant Major. His next assignment was to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA where he served as the Provost Sergeant Major. His next assignment was to the 93D MP Battalion, where he served as the Command Sergeant Major. Currently, CSM Lewis is the 720th MP BN, Battalion Command Sergeant Major.

     CSM Lewis a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, CSM Force Management course, First Sergeants Course, Battle Staff Course, Drill Sergeant School, Airborne school, Air assault school, Defense Support to Civil Authority Course, Special Reaction Team School, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Small Group Leader course and all lower level PME training. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College.

     His awards include the Bronze Star (2), Meritorious Service (5), Army Commendation (6), the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the German Schutzenschner (Silver) a marskmanship award, and the Drivers badge. CSM Lewis is a Sergeant Audie Murphy member and a recipient of the Bronze Order of the Marchaussee.
