Photo G2613: SP/4 Lloyd Kahan and his K9 “King,” members of the 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog) Scout Dog Unit, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade with an ambush & recon squad at Outpost-2 under the Pagoda of the Buddhist Compound in Long Hung Village in the battalion Tactical Area Of Responsibility in Bien Hoa Province, Military Region III, Vietnam in 1970. The compound was staffed by a Liaison squad of five B Company MP’s from September 1967 through late 1969 before the company mission in the villages was changed to screening tactics, and the OP village operations were returned to the local Popular Forces squads.
