Photo G1485: “Rebel” was the 615th MP Company, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade Mascot before the official status obtained by Andy the Bloodhound. He was just a stray found during a village sweep in the Battalion Tactical Area Of Responsibility and adopted by the men. Sometime in 1968 he was struck and killed by a deuce-and-a-half in front of the company area. Rebel was buried with mascot honors behind the company area on Long Binh Post, Bien Hoa Province, III Corps Tactical Zone, Vietnam.
