Photo G1279: The roadway just outside the Tay Ninh Base Camp of the 25th Infantry Division, Tay Ninh Province, III Corps Tactical Zone, Vietnam in 1967. Photo taken during a C Company, 720th MP Battalion Tay Ninh-Cu Chi convoy escort. After negotiations and payment to the local rubber plantation owners, the rubber trees would eventually be cleared back by Army Engineers to widen the roadway and provide a buffer zone to lessen the ability of close-in enemy ambushes.
