Operation ENDURING FREEDOM |
In January 2002 the 64th MP Company (Guardians) of the 720th MP Battalion were deployed to Afghanistan at the start of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. The company was trained at Fort Dix, NJ and became part of the direct air transport security team that took custody of Taliban POW's for transport directly to holding facilities at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. The mission was called Operation IRONCLAD. |
