The memorial was moved to Fort McClellan, Alabama in October 1976, In September 1999, the Memorial Grove was moved to its present location. Today, the Regimental Military Police Memorial Grove houses 25 additional plaques and a separate memorial in honor of Brigadier General David H. Stem. These plaques serve to recognize discontinued Military Police units that conducted various operations around the world.
The Regimental Military Police Memorial is dedicated to all members of the Military Police Corps who gave their lives to further the Military Police mission world-wide and to preserve the freedom of our country. It consists of a large stage area with a handsome brick facade to its rear making it ideal for graduation exercises, orientation classes, rites of passage ceremonies, chapel service and memorial services. If your unit served under the 720th MP Battalion and its plaque at the Memorial Grove is not displayed on this page, please feel free to send one to the History Project Manager via any email link on this website.
